About the hotel
The hotel is situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park, and just a short walk to the village of Grasmere. It stands in several acres of beautifully kept gardens leading to the shore of Grasmere Lake, opposite Dove Cottage.
This attractive 72 bedroom hotel has the style and atmosphere of an old country house and is the ideal location for exploring this magnificent area, whether on foot or by car. There is free car parking on site. Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the hotel does not have a lift.
The Waterside Hotel is now fully non-smoking.

Rail
take the main line service to oxenholme. Change there for the branch line service to windermere. From there take a taxi to the hotel.
Air
from manchester airport, take the mainline train service to oxenholme and follow rail directions.
Road
m6 junction 36 for the a591 south m6 junction 40 for the a66 north.
